Description

In this lesson, students explore how traditional cooking methods harm the environment and human health, then design their own clean cooking solutions. Through creative design challenges and discovery of sustainable cooking technologies, students learn that cleaner fuels and cooking methods can reduce carbon emissions, improve indoor air quality, and support health and equity globally. The lesson emphasizes that clean cooking is both an environmental and social justice issue; billions of people worldwide depend on polluting traditional cooking methods.
