Description

In this lesson, students explore how fisheries contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and examine strategies to reduce their climate impact. Students will identify carbon sources and sinks within fisheries systems and investigate solutions such as improved catch policies and sustainable seafood choices. Through inquiry and research, students will consider how fisheries can operate in ways that are environmentally responsible and aligned with net-zero goals.
