Description

This lesson examines Indigenous approaches to fishing and wildlife management as sustainable alternatives to industrial practices that drive overfishing, ecosystem collapse, and high carbon emissions. Through comparison, students will understand how fundamentally different worldviews shape environmental outcomes and explore how recognizing Indigenous sovereignty and knowledge systems is essential to achieving net-zero goals and marine sustainability.
