Herd Emissions

Feed Additives
Science
Grade 7
NB

Description

This lesson introduces students to feed additives as an agricultural solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock in support of reaching net-zero global emissions. Through an interactive introduction and card-based game simulation, students explore how feed additives reduce methane emissions while identifying real-world barriers to adoption. The game mechanic makes the abstract concept of emissions tangible while revealing systemic factors that influence environmental outcomes.
