Description

Every day, we use hot water for showers, laundry, and cleaning, and most of that water is heated using fossil fuels that release greenhouse gases. Solar hot water systems offer a clean, renewable alternative that can significantly reduce household emissions. In this lesson, students will learn how solar hot water systems work, conduct an experiment to understand the principles behind solar heating, and investigate whether this technology could be implemented in their community as part of a path to net-zero.

Lesson Type: Hands-on, Lab/Experiment
