Description

Landfills produce methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. But this methane can be captured and converted into electricity, replacing fossil fuel energy sources. In this lesson, students will investigate how landfill methane contributes to climate change, research methane capture technology, and evaluate how this solution could support Canada's net-zero goals and their own community's waste management.
