The Problem

Students in grades 7-9 at New Myrnam School have been taking on climate action projects for years. Last year, the students conducted an energy audit that showed that there were a lot of energy efficiency issues with their school buildings. This meant they were spending more money and creating more emissions than necessary throughout their campus.

The Solution

In partnership with their local municipality, students worked to install better HVAC controls and a large solar array on their campus. These installations have helped their school to address energy efficiency and create an onsite source of renewable energy for their school to use throughout the year, helping their school save money and lower emissions.
