New Myrnam School

Students at New Myrnam School are installing solar panels on their school buildings to provide onsite renewable energy and power savings.

Students in grades 7-9 at New Myrnam School have been taking on climate action projects for years. Their latest project came out of a student-conducted energy audit that showed where their school buildings’ inefficiencies were. In partnership with their local municipality, students have been installing better HVAC controls and a large solar array to address energy efficiency and create an onsite source of renewable energy for their school to use throughout the year.
