Description

Students will investigate seaweed farming as a climate solution that reduces emissions while providing food security and economic opportunity. Through a combination of video research, hands-on mini-farm creation, and analysis, students will understand the biological mechanisms of seaweed cultivation and evaluate its potential for their region. This lesson emphasizes both the science of seaweed growth and the practical, scalable benefits of marine farming as a net-zero strategy.
