Description

Students will learn about the meaning and importance of the flow rate of water fixtures. Reducing flow rate provides a way to decrease water consumption without simply shortening water use time. Students will measure the flow rates of fixtures around the school and compare them to low-flow models identified through research. Using their data, students will determine whether upgrading fixtures would meaningfully reduce water use.
