Description

This lesson explains the global volume of cement consumption and the resulting importance of reducing the CO2 emissions associated with its production. The lesson identifies and analyzes the primary greenhouse gas contributors, and the cement production cycle is visualized. Five leading options for improving cement production are introduced. Students will then complete a Dragon’s Den-style pitch activity in groups where they explain one of these options, select an application, and pitch its potential value.
