Description

Students will learn about the meaning and importance of the flow rate of water fixtures. Decreasing the flow-rate gives us another avenue to reduce water consumption without simply using it for less time. Students will have the opportunity to measure the flow rates of fixtures around the school and compare them to low-flow models they find through research. They will then use their data and research to decide if it is worth upgrading the faucet to save water.

Lesson Type: Hands-on, Project, Lab/Experiment

Duration: Single Class
