The Great Atlantic Shipping Conference

Description

Students will investigate ocean shipping's role in global trade and its significant environmental impact, exploring how the shipping industry contributes to climate change and how efficiency improvements can support net-zero goals. Through a structured simulation conference, students will represent different stakeholder organizations (shipping companies, trade organizations, government agencies, environmental experts, and international bodies) and negotiate to establish a net-zero shipping treaty for Atlantic Canada.
